VINCENT'S CHARITY SHOP ON DORSET STREET - I CANNOT REMEMBER WHAT WAS THERE

When I was at school I was a SVP volunteer at weekends and was responsible for visiting a number of old people living alone in the Baggot Street area of Dublin and it was depressing to witness their living conditions back in the 1960s.

Dublin’s Lord Mayor, Councillor Nial Ring officially opened a new St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) shop, Vincent’s at 59 Lower Dorset Street, Dublin 1. on Friday 10 August 2018.

I cannot remember what was at this location before 2018 but I do know that the building was on the market for £450,000 back in 2001 before the state withdrew the Irish Pound.
