MIDLETON COUNTY CORK - 2016 GEESE ATTACKING YOUNG BOY AT GOOSES ACRE

Midleton Town Council have installed a set of five statues at strategic positions around the town.

The installation shown in my photographs is a bronze structure located at the Gooses Acre. The structure costing €60,000 was designed to reflect the traditional use of the area by local people for grazing their geese.

The artist was Born and reared in Dublin, Niall Bruton graduated from the National College of Art and Design in 1986. While there he concentrated on the casting and fabrication of metals in a sculptural context and developed these techniques further in studio experience in Florence, Italy and Valencia, Spain.
