PAINT-A-BOX STREET ART IN CORK CITY MEMORIAL TO MARY ELMES

MEMORIAL TO MARY ELMES PAINT-A-BOX STREET ART IN CORK CITY

Early this year it was announced Cork city's newest pedestrian bridge has been named after Mary Elmes. Mary Elmes was born in Ballintemple in Cork city. She is credited with having helped over 200 Jewish children escape Vichy France and the threat of concentration camps.

The bridge was opened to the public in July 2019 but unfortunately it was not operational when I visited in May.
