FEVER HOSPITAL STEPS 2011

FEVER HOSPITAL STEPS PHOTOGRAPHED MAY 2011

The Cork Fever Hospital was highly respected by the citizens of Cork since 1802 and it was located atop the Fever Hospital steps, adjacent to Our Lady’s Well in Blackpool.

The Hospital was established by Corkman Dr Milner Barry, who introduced vaccination into Cork in 1800 and was the first to make it known to any Irish city.
