LANEWAY CONNECTING PRUSSIA STREET IN STONEYBATTER TO THE GRANGEGORMAN CAMPUS

Photographs of the college campus.

In earlier posts I wrote "Fingal Lane" instead of "Fingal Place".

Making a guess I would say that not many people are aware that Fingal Place can be used to access the new Grangegorman College Campus.

As Stoneybatter is now the "coolest neighbourhood in Dublin" I decided to visit the area and then return home via the college campus. I was aware that I could get from Prussia Street to the campus using Fingal Place but I was not aware that the gate is closed in the evenings after 6PM [at least that is what a local told me] but that was not an issue today. At the other side of the campus there is a new laneway connecting Grangegorman to Broadstone [Constitution Hill] but that cannot be accessed later than 4PM but I was not aware that it is closed at 2PM on Saturdays and all day on Sunday. As I could not use the shortcut I went to the the nearby tram stop and travelled to the Broadstone stop and then discovered that the gateway from Kings Inns park to Henrietta Street was locked.
