BRIDGE IN CABRA AT FASSAUGH AVENUE

BRIDGE IN CABRA AT FASSAUGH AVENUE

The bridge is functional rather than attractive and currently it crosses a railway track.

There is is some evidence that this bridge was rebuilt in 1936 and that the road was named 'Fassaugh Lane' at the time ... it is now Fassaugh Avenue. The memorial plaque celebrating the Hunger Strikers was added in 2006. I did not notice that there was a second plaque on the opposite side of the road but now that I know that it is there I will return and photograph it.
