I ORDERED TWO IN NOVEMBER 2019
Earlier this week [30 November 2019] I stood on my iPad and it was totally destroyed so I sat down and began to plan my system for next year.
I am using an old 2010 Mac Mini as a server and it is coming to the end of its life and the two internal drives are failing so I do not have much choice but to replace it.
I do have an 27 inch 5K iMac which I purchased in 2014 [at the time it was maxed out] and I am hoping that it will last a few more years and by then I might be in a position to consider a Mac Pro [one can dream].
I am considering a 32G mini-mac which will use two external SSD hard drives and one of the SSD drives will be in fact the boot disk. I will not be using the internal drive when the unit is being used as a server.
When I started looking at high quality solid state drives I was horrified by the price and then I noticed that Amazon in the UK were selling Samsung T5 1TB drives at Euro 138.40 each so I immediately ordered two and they are due to arrive on Monday.
I forgot to mention that I intend to us a iMac Pro as a monitor for the Mac Mini.
