One thing that I noticed while in Passage West is that most, if not all, of the satellite dishes are badly rusted.

There is a house on Cork Street, Passage West, that was apparently once owned by Captain Benjamin Askey, who captained the ship 'The Lucy Ann', in the late 1800s.

There is a memorial plaque in Passage West in Cork dedicated to Patrick Murphy, a fisherman, who was fatally shot by water bailiffs while salmon fishing near Carrigaloe on 17th May 1911. I visited Patrick Murphy park but forgot to photograph the memorial plaque. The Ballad of Patrick Murphy is a song written by John Spillane.
