TWO WORKING MEN IN CORK

TWO WORKING MEN IN CORK

I like this for many reasons. However, I suspect that the men are retired or are on the dole and that they never worked since they left St. Patrick's Industrial School, Upton. I am not going to explain this comment here.

Across the road there is what appears to be a joke or ‘send-up’ version of this sculpture. I would describe it as a sculpture of the two men when they were young boys. I will upload photographs later today.

The sculpture of the two boys is by Brendan Byrne.
